Kovarn and Surkan lay beside each other in the desert, talking. On Surkan's back perched Nyral, her own red-tailed hawk. To Surkan's suprise, Kovarn seemed to understand the bird. So the two siblings were talking in bird language, and the laughed with the amused growl of a wolf. As the moon rose into the night skies, a howl echoed through the skies. Surkan's ears perked.
"Kovarn, I belive that was Banchen..." She barked. He smiled. "I belive you're right" He barked. The two exchanged a nod, then they threw back their heads and howled. Nyral envied their amazing voices. The two siblings smiled as a howl answered them, and the two sang again. Nyral even joined in, screeching to add to the beautiful chorus. The three soon saw a wolf running towards them, with a bird in the air, flying by his side. The wolf tumbled into Kovarn and smiled. It was Banchen. The bird screeched and landed on Kovarn's head, sensing friendship. It was Riverstone.
Banchen barked in greetings. "Kovarn, Surkan, Nyral, how happy I am to see you! Mother has been worried...Oh, and that bird has been following me, I'm not sure what he wants..." He murmered, nodding towards the raven. The raven chirped. Silly wolf, clak clak, you speaking strange tongues, me can't listen t'him The raven chirped.
Surkan Kovarn and Nyral exchanged a glance and burst out laughing. They soon explained to Banchen that Kovarn had the ability of the sight. Kovarn and Riverstone talked for a while, and Riverstone gladly agreed to be Kovarn's helper. The wolves all threw back their heads and howled, singing their songs gleefully to the moon, while Riverstone and Nyral screeched. They were all having a great time, just ahving fun.

A red tailed hawk swooped along the sands of the desert, her tail feathers skimming the sand, leaving a trail in the sand behind her. A screech was emitted from her beak and she pulled up, making umerous loops in the air out of the pure bliss that it gave to her. When howls reached her ears, she seemed to flinch, yet let the flinching end once she spotted that it was only Surkan and a numerous others. Perhaps she had not met these others quite yet.
Keer screeched in greetings but went to land next to Surkan and was off a bit. A long scar ran across the left side of her head, through her eye. A fight nearly ago with Elsi had left her blind in her left eye. Now shew as a bird of little words and little emotion. Her head nodded in greetings as she righted herself and flew into a small desert shrub closeby.

Surkan twitched her ears, and the wolves and birds all turned to see Keer. Surkan barked happily, her tail waving through the sand. Nyral chirped happily, while Kovarn, Banchen and Riverstone watched. They hadn't met Keer before, although they heard talk of her.
Keer, friend! Many moons have set since I have seen you last! What has happened to your eye, Keer?. Nyral could see that Keer couldn't see as well through her left eye. Surkan too was worried, although Nyral had voiced her thoughts.

Keer flapped her wings in what appeared to be irratation as she sat in the desert shrub, watching them. "Elsi made me fake death." she stated simply in wolf, the words coming out her mouth so fluently it was as if it were second nature to her. "[b]I am blind in my left eye[b/]." she said, rufflnig her neck feathers and clicking her beak. One of words she was not.

Nyral cooed sympathetically for Keer. It must of been hard, to see with only one eye. Banchen's jaw fell open as the hawk spoke prefect wolf. He followed this up by a very confused look. Kovarn chuckled in a growlish way. He nudged his brother and softly explained that yes, birds could tlak wolf if they took the time to learn the language. Banchen just looked like this: o.0
Surkan growled in a friendly matter towards Keer. "Keer, it is good to see you again. Oh by the by, have you seen Soren anywhere? He seems to have disappeared," She growled in concern.

The gray in her feathers now seemed apparent as she was asked of Soren. Sadly, Keer had not seen her friend in quite some time. She blinked both eyes, looking at the wolves. "No, dear, I haven't." she said, pausing. Maybe she should actually say more than she usually would. "We are quite old for birds, you know." and that was all she would say until she got a reply. Her perfect wolf speak was flawless and she puffed her chest feathers as she saw te look on Banchen's face.

bic:: Nyral chuckled at the look on Banchen's face. Kovarn laughed, then playfully boxed his brother's ears with his left paw. The two brothers ended up tussling in the sandy dunes, oblivious to the other wolves. Surkan chuckled, while Riverstone flew above the brothers and squwaked encouraginly. Surkan watched with a smile on her maw.
Myral fluttered over to Keer and perched beside her on her right side. Keer, I am worried about Soren. I haven't seen him around lately, nor have the wolves... She chirped softly.

Keer's vocals had grown tired. She usually did not have to speak so much. She usually spoke silently with motions and some telepathy. Even telepathically, Keer was more of the silent type ... mostly because of the fight with Elsi. Dear Nyral, I'm sure hwere ever Soren is, he's fine. He always was the smarter of us two. she sighed as if that short exchange of thoughts had taken a lot out of her. Aging she was. Soon to be with her death was.

Nyral's eyes widdened. She let out a screech, turning to Keer. Did you feel taht, Keer? It felt like Soren just...Vanished. I can't sense him any more, She cried, her voice wavering sadly. She had grown up with the old barn owl, he was like a father to her. He had always been there. But where was he now?

Keer shook her feathers just as a nervous habit. It is happening. she mumbled to herslef, her eyes wide with a sudden fear. Spreading her wings, she gave Nyral a look that told the red tailed hawk to follow if she wanted to. And the old hawk took flight, heading towards the boudaries towards the last place she had felt Soren.

Nyral nodded hastily, rising into the sky. She cast a worried glance at Surkan, but also telling the she-wolf that she could follow. Flapping her powerful wings to gain alititude, she rose into the air, and with the wind at her heels, followed after Keer. Surkan, sensing taht something was wrong, also rose to her feet. Something was wrong. She could sense it. But she told her brothers to stay but wth Riverstone, and she bolted off.

Surkan trotted forwards, barking in greetings to Banchen and Kovarn. Nyral chirped, and landed next to Riverstone and the two began to speak in rapid bird-tongue. Surkan landed next to her brothers and grinned. She looked at Banchen and Kovarn. "Mum's been ingured. Pretty nasty. Someone bandaged her leg, and now she's too stubborn to except help or sympathy," She barked sadly.

Keer swooped down over hte desert, still slightly unsteady from the searing pain in her mind. Hopefully the disturbance would settle soon. But as she touched down onto the grass, she screeched again as the sharp pain increased, feeling as if someone was stabbing her brain with a hot iron. She stumbled and almost fell flat over but the pain chilled a bit and she settled, righting herself and flapping her wings to free them of sand. Her eyes were clouded with pain as she looked eagerly to Nyral nad Surkan.
A small black figure, much smaller than the adolescent wolves gathered in the desert, ran eagerly along the desert. It seemed a little too eager, considering the naughty little beast had been missing for almost a month now. To Keer's knowledge, Tayuya was laying somewhere around here, probably under a sagebush, dying of a broken heart because her young adopted child Sandpaper had disappeared.
But the dear little fox had been kidnapped, and had not runaway. He had been kidnapped by an enemy of Elsi, thinking that the capture of the alpha's daughter's son would weaken Elsi in Fell's plight over his daughter. But it had not effected Elsio so the fox had been released. Now, Sandpaper ran eagerly over the hot sands, flinging the loose ground behind him, his tongue lolling from his mouth.
Sandpaper slid to a halt as he neared the others, his brown eyes looking at them all eagerly. Sandpaper did not know wolf language, but Keer could translate for him if he wished it. And from the looks of it, he was tired and all he wanted was to see his mother. He cocked his head in a way that clearly stated, Where is my mum?
